Voronezh State Medical University was established in 1918 as a medical faculty of Voronezh State University, marking the beginning of one of Russiaβs oldest and most respected medical institutions.
In 1930, the medical faculty became an independent institution known as Voronezh Medical Institute. In 1994, the institute was granted academy status, reflecting its academic excellence and growing reputation. Later, in 2015, it was officially renamed Voronezh State Medical University, further strengthening its position as a leading center for medical education and scientific research.
